Empirical Association between Education and Happiness in a Social Context

Education level and the number of school years completed have an important function in each persons’ life and is considered as one of the most important aspects of socialization, fulfilment, income level, and general happiness. In particular, the number of school years completed is an important indicator which we intend to utilize to estimate educations’ impact on one’s life in general. Differently put, among many other aspects of educations’ impact on humans’ life, this article focuses on the relation between the highest numbers of school year completed and the general happiness of a person.The purpose of the article is to find evidence which proves that the general happiness and the highest school year completed are not statistically independent. Finding the correlation between these two variables is the objective of the article. For that purpose, we analyzed the empirical data provided by the General Social Survey (GSS) by conducting a chi-square statistics test to prove the existence of a relationship between the variables.Put another way, the research intends to analyze data provided by GSS2008.dta and test the null and alternative hypothesis by using chi-square statistics test and by applying the quantitative methodology of research. The data collected from 2,018 respondents provided by GSS are analyzed by utilizing State Software - as one of the most reliable and contemporary tools used by scientists nowadays

Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Keputusan Orang Tua Siswa Memilih SD Kasatriyan Surakarta

The Kasatriyan elementary school (SD Kasatriyan) is one of the oldest elementary schools in Surakarta and was founded on November 1, 1901 by Sinuhun Pakubowono X. Located in the neighborhood of Surakarta Palace, in the beginningonly accepts male students from the members of the royal family. However, in 1983 developed to accept female students and the general students from outside the royalfamily members. In the 2000s, the Kasatriyan elementary school has decreased the number of students. This problem may have happened because the establishment ofnew schools which have advantages in terms of facilities, curriculum development and the hiring of foreign teachers. The elementary school is the business of educational services that using the marketing mix to introduce the services offered.Therefore, in this research used the marketing mix to determine the factors that influence the decision to choose SD Kasatriyan. This study used a sample of 50respondents from the parents of elementary school students Kasatriyan. The results showed that variables such as promotions, services, and accreditation status has aninfluence on the decision of parents to choose the SD Kasatriyan. Meanwhile, other variables such as product, cost, and location, are not shown to affect the decision of parents to choose the SD Kasatriyan

Higher Education Learning Trends: Selected Bibliography

The University Archives has determined that this item is of continuing value to OSU's history.The Learning Group worked to develop a strongly and pervasively learner-centered view of the Ohio State University Libraries. It examined trends in teaching and learning at Ohio State University by interviewing campus administrators, faculty, and staff closely involved with academic programs and student life; surveyed recent higher education and library publications concerned with teaching and learning; and learned from the example of other academic libraries. This bibliography partially addresses the second and third activity. The group surveyed the literature to identify current trends in higher education learning, which in the groups judgement, were applicable to the Thompson Library renovation project.
